5/07: the first issue of performers'/artists' voice is hot off the presses and out in the world. p/av is a peer review magazine for bay area artists, by bay area artists. issue one turned out fantastically, thanks to our wonderful contributors and the incredible fanfare that greeted its birth. it will be free for the first few issues. the next one will be going to press some time in august. stay tuned for calls for work in mid june.

(and before anyone asks - no, it's not and will not be a webzine. at least not in the near future. i've worked in this medium for way too long and need a break from it.)

7/8-12: the new world ergonomy is a choreographic research project that makes comparisons between how people work in their offices to how they live in their bodies and the world. come get your very own ergonomics evaluation!

this piece is part of sliv and dulet presents: the summer line.

new langton arts, 1246 Folsom Street (between 8th and 9th streets).

12-6 tuesday-saturday. there will be a public reception from 6-8pm on wednesday.

april 2003

4/30: right brain performancelab will premiere dance of the triffids, at union square with spinning yarns dance collective. performance time: 12 noon - 1pm. this performance is free and is part of bay area celebrates national dance week.

4/28: jen and john will both show new works-in-progress, thinginaworld and the pledge at the spring 2003 mixed discipline fieldwork showing. performance time is 8:30 pm, upstairs at the marsh at 1062 valencia at 22nd street. tickets are $7.

3/3: john premiered the pledge to heartfelt applause and a rousing, audience-wide rendition of "won't you be my neighbor?" at the lysistrata cabaret at the magic theater.

2/3: a first glimpse of hegemony cricket, appeared at the monday night marsh and disappeared just as fast - but not before the audience fell down laughing.

don't worry. it'll be back as a full-length show of its very own in 2004!

december 2002

12/2: the bank tour comes to the heart of commercial san francisco at the convergence of kearny, bush, montgomery and sutter streets. the performance is mobile and has three major movements that will occur at 8 am, 12 pm and 4 pm. the bank tour is presented by the L7 project as a month-long street performance festival. this performance is free, participatory, and open to the public.

may 2002

5/31-6/1: jen shows an all-new work, tempest in a teapot, a solo choreographed for susan donham, with a colorful cameo by john baumann for trajectories, a spinning yarns dance collective production at dance mission, 8pm.

july 2002

7/5-7: jen and john each show new work at the beauty shop, produced by amanda coslor and lauren steiner. noh space, 8pm.

august 2002

8/10-11, 14-15: jen and john perform as part of h.e.l.p. in jim saliba's jesus and the myth of care, new college, 766 Valencia Street in San Francisco. jen will also be performing sundial. all proceeds go to benefit huckleberry youth services.
